Team Kansas' Alea Goolsby Chooses Iowa State

Alea Goolsby, one of the top players out of Kansas in this year's class of 2025, chose to commit to Iowa State.

Goolsby was also chosen to compete on this year's team Kansas at the Midwest Battle, she competed along side other top commits from 2024 and 2025. In this we were able to see what made her one of the top players in the country.

Goolsby admitted that being close to home was a plus for Iowa State, but also admitted that the atmosphere and coaches were the main factors. She attended a camp there before which is how she fell in love with the Cyclones campus, and that is also when she realized that this place is where she wants to be for Volleyball.

She will immediately impact a Cyclones team that finished fourth in the Big 12 last year. She will also be Iowa State's first 2025 verbal.

Goolsby is extremely excited to get on campus and get to work and told Iowa State fans to expect to see her passion in games.
