Louisville Honors Glock at Senior Day vs. Kentucky

Elle Glock, a 6-foot setter from Wahoo, Nebraska, has been a cornerstone of the University of Louisville’s volleyball team for the past three seasons.
Glock began her collegiate career at the University of Southern California, redshirting during the 2021 season before transferring to Louisville in 2022. In her first year with the Cardinals, she played in 10 sets, recording one kill, 53 assists, one ace, eight digs, and three blocks. By 2023, she had become a key player, appearing in 113 of 117 sets and earning AVCA All-East Region and Second Team All-ACC honors. She was named ACC Setter of the Week five times and delivered a season-high 60 assists against Pittsburgh.
During her redshirt junior year, Glock continued to lead, playing in 126 sets and tallying 669 assists, averaging 5.31 assists per set. She recorded a season-high 38 assists against Pittsburgh on October 25 and reached double-digit digs in five matches. Her steady leadership and exceptional play helped guide Louisville to the NCAA Championship match.
Recently, Glock made the decision not to use her fifth year of eligibility, choosing instead to begin PA school. With the timing of her decision, she didn’t get a traditional Senior Day celebration. But in a testament to both her impact on the program and the culture of Louisville volleyball, Head Coach Dan Meske is making sure she gets the recognition she deserves. He has chosen to honor Glock at the team’s upcoming spring match against Kentucky on April 18—an opportunity for her, her teammates, and fans to properly celebrate her contributions.
It’s a small but meaningful gesture, one that speaks volumes about Meske as a coach and leader. Honoring Glock isn’t just about recognizing her skill on the court—it’s about acknowledging the person she has been to this program. Her work ethic, leadership, and dedication have shaped Louisville volleyball, and Meske’s decision ensures that legacy doesn’t go unnoticed. In a sport where moments can pass quickly, this one will stand as a testament to both Elle Glock and the kind of coach who understands just how much a player can mean to a team, even beyond the final point.
