Louisville Volleyball Spring Preview: A Fresh Start Under Meske

Louisville Volleyball Spring Preview: A Fresh Start Under Meske

The Cardinals are gearing up for an exciting spring slate, offering fans a first look at the team under new head coach Dan Meske. With a mix of home and road matches, Louisville will face tough competition while continuing to refine its roster ahead of the 2024 season.

Spring Match Lineup

  • March 28 vs. Vanderbilt – Louisville kicks off the spring season against Vanderbilt at Central Garden High School. This matchup marks an exciting milestone for the Commodores, as they prepare to enter their first-ever collegiate season this fall.

  • April 5 at Indiana – A road test awaits as the Cards travel to Bloomington to take on the Hoosiers. This matchup will be a great opportunity for Louisville to test its new lineup in a competitive environment.

  • April 12 vs. Tennessee (Freedom Hall, Noon) – One of the most anticipated matches of the spring, this showdown with the Vols has been a sellout in past years. Fans are eager to catch the action in a larger venue, and Freedom Hall will provide an electric atmosphere for this marquee matchup.

  • April 18 vs. Kentucky (L&N Arena) – The Cards close out their spring schedule with a rivalry clash against in-state foe Kentucky. This match will also serve as a homecoming for Louisville alum Amaya Tillman, who recently accepted a role as Kentucky’s fourth assistant coach.

Building Toward the Future

With Meske now leading the program, the Cardinals are looking to build on their recent success, including last season’s national championship game appearance. This spring slate will be an early test for new leaders to emerge as the Cards prepare for another deep run in 2024.
