Collins Change of Direction Big Shot to Aggies 2025 Class

Mackenzie Collins is one of the most talented athletes in America for the Class of 2025 and with being a multi-sport athlete comes multiple options and multiple difficult decisions. Collins was a star MB for a Top 10 Texas AM 2025 Recruiting Class that gained national attention and would bring talent and depth to Aggieville. She also is one of the fastest females in America for the 200 and 400 m dash so there was attention from every top track program in the nation. The recruiting calendars for the two sports do not line up at all and many top track stars do not commit until months later than top volleyball stars do. Late last week Mackenzie collins made a decision change, but for a much different reason than most commits.....she will head to Texas and run track and not play the sport of volleyball at the collegiate level. Obviously losing a top 10 MB prospect hurts any class and it hurts A+M's, but it was nothing the Aggies did or didn't do this was 100% Collins heart telling her that her future was with the sport of track and not volleyball. None the less a tough loss for the Aggies 2025 class.
