NOBOBODY'S LITTLE PONY: SMU KNOCKS OFF #1 PITT

SMU proved once again that they will be a force in December as the Mustangs handed #1 Pitt their first loss of the season, on Saturday defeating the Panthers in a 5-set thriller. SMU came in ranked #15 in the previous AVCA Coaches Poll and despite an early week loss to Pitt, the Pony Express should jump up the polls as they are the only team in the nation that can boast wins over BOTH Nebraska and Pitt.

Everyone talked of the depth and talent in the "new ACC" this season, but not sure how many "experts" factored in SMU being in the mix. Well you can ask any team at the top of the polls.....The Mustangs are for real!
