Home state verbal Reese Shugart was just named South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year and that had to make her soon to be Auburn coaches smile even more. The 2026 home state commit keeps developing into more of a prize commit for the Tigers who are growing and climbing that tough SEC ladder and Shugart looks to be one of their top 2026 commits. If this club season is anything like her last her new program will have plenty to celebrate as the South Caroline native burst onto the national recruiting scene this past season and her explosive game should only to continue to go up, just like her PPV score did in our latest updates.
