What they are getting Wrap Up: Part One

Reese Resmer Middle Blocker Boiler Juniors - Kansas State University, Cats

Kansas State is a smoke show program who is continuing to build on recent years of success as they bring in Resmer, one of the top middle blockers with a powerful arm swing and is able to hit all areas on the court. She is a smart player on the court and in the classroom, Resmer is quick pin to pin and she has a great ability to read the attackers approach to create a physical blocking presence. Resmer is the #1 recruit out of Indiana with lots of success at the club and high school level, the Cats have an experienced high level player heading to their program.

Ellah Derrer Middle Blocker Iowa Select - Kansas State University, Cats

The Cats add another strong middle blocker to their recruiting class with 6’4 Derrer, she has good hand placement on the block and is disciplined with her footwork to avoid getting tooled. Derrer is patient at the net as she waits for the play to develop to make smart decisions on the attack and when she gets on top of the ball the defense doesn’t stand a chance. She brings physical size and athleticism as she is able to adjust on the fly.

Jessica Smallwood MB/Outside Hitter Kiva - University of Florida, Gators

Smallwood may be the most physical player in the class of 2026, standing at 6’5 she has the ability to attack from anywhere on the court efficiently. Her length gives her the advantage over defense and she has good vision of the blockers on the other side of the net. She puts up a physical and consistent block at the net with quick footwork, the Gators have a dominant athlete headed their way.

Avery Poulton Outside Hitter Club V - University of Oregon, Ducks

Poulton is an underrated recruit for the Oregon Ducks, with a 10’6 approach jump, she is athletic and explosive as it gets. She gets her feet to the ball quickly to beat the opposing block and has developed into a smart attacker that uses the block to her advantage.

Lily Mae Buerkle Setter NPJ - University of Washington, Huskies

Washington has landed a setter that makes everyone around her better, Mae is a crafty setter who is deceptive and aggressive at the net. She holds blockers well to get her hitters one on one with her high finish, a technical setter that brings energy to the game, the Huskies are getting a playmaker at the setting position.

Kami dyrstad Libero Nebraska Premier - Rutgers University, Knights

Dyrstad is about as fun as they come to watch a libero defend in the back court, she is a defensive machine, making plays outside her body and controlling hard driven attacks. Her skill level shines in coverage and serve receive, she is a consistent passer and covers a lot of court while leading the court vocally.

Anna Flores TAV - University of California, Berkeley, Bears

Flores is the complete all-around player, similar to her counterpart Whitmire, the two run a dynamic 6-2 offense on a dominant TAV team that was ranked #1 in the nation. She is a creative setter who is hard to read for the blockers and has good distribution. The Bears are getting a great athlete to watch, she is an efficient attacker on the right side and aggressive on defense.
