What they are getting from the Top Prospects

What a start to June 15th, players are finding their homes a lot sooner than expected this year with early first day decisions from two top prospects announcing their choice earlier today. We’re diving into prospect breakdowns and what awaits college volleyball fans in the upcoming years.

Genevieve Harris Setter NC Academy - University of Texas, Longhorns

It’s no surprise reigning National Champions have secured the #1 overall ranked setter out of North Carolina, wasting no time with one of the first commitments of the day. Harris brings size and physicality to the setting position at 5’11, an offensive threat at the net with her ability to create scoring opportunities for herself. A poised five star setter who plays beyond her age and will have an immediate impact on the Longhorns.

Harris is a leader on the court that brings competitive fire to her teammates and makes those around her better. She has exceptional vision to see the opposing blockers and make athletic plays to put her hitters in one on one situations. Her strength gives her the advantage to set against the flow, and paired with her impressive location off the net, the Longhorns add to their already loaded setter position.

Sara Snowbarger Outside Hitter Mintonette - Indiana University, Hoosiers

Back-to-back club National Champion and SUPER 30 impact six rotation outside hitter stays close to home bringing her talent to the Hoosiers for the next four years, a real treat for Indiana as their first commit of the 2026 class. Snowbarger has the ball control fundamentals to be a starting outside for the Hoosiers, her shot selection and powerful arm makes her quite the offensive weapon.

She plays a huge role for the #2 ranked team in the country, a fearless slightly undersized attacker who isn't afraid to challenge the blockers hands and outwork her opponent. Snowbarger can make a splash in the Big Ten conference with her high volleyball IQ and the consistent dedication to her game is going to help raise the level at any college program.
