Get to know Isabel Incinelli

Get to know Isabel Incinelli

I had the chance to chat with 2027 6’5” outside hitter Isabel Incinelli (PPV 270) and ask her a few questions about her volleyball career this far. The 6 '5 OH is one of the top in her class and is playing for WPVC 16’s team this year. I can't wait to catch her in action this season and loved getting to hear her answers to some of these questions!

Here is a little bit about Isabel and her volleyball career this far!

  1. What is your favorite volleyball memory so far in your career?

My favorite volleyball memory was winning states this past high school season. It was such a fun, close game and we ended up winning in extra points in the fifth set. It was such a cool experience and I am so thankful to be able to do it with that group of girls. I am so proud of the way we fought and played for each other and can't wait for next year!

  1. If you could play any sport other than volleyball what would it be?

I come from a big baseball family so I played softball for 8 years growing up and didn't start volleyball until I was in 5th grade. I did basketball for a while and loved it but eventually I had to decide between the sports and I obviously picked volleyball :). I tried doing both for a couple of years but ended up stopping softball freshman year.

  1. If you could play any other volleyball position what would it be?

I enjoyed playing middle for my high school team so I'd say middle.

  1. What are you looking forward to this club season?

I'm looking forward to seeing and experiencing new parts of the country while playing the sport I love with my best friends. I am also excited for the new Louisville tournament this year!

  1. Do you have a favorite volleyball skill? Stuff block, big kill, out of system set, etc?

I'd say a stuff block is definitely my favorite play, especially if it's on game point or set point.

  1. Who is your favorite NCAA volleyball player?

My favorite college volleyball player is Anna Debeer. I love the way she handles herself on the court and even though she isn't the tallest she is still a dominant player.

  1. What do you like to do outside of the volleyball gym? Hobbies?

Outside of volleyball I enjoy baking and water colors.

  1. Do you have a role model or an influential person in your life? Who and what's the story?

My mom is definitely my biggest role model. She is one of the main reasons I started playing volleyball and she always encourages me on my bad days. She's my travel buddy and takes me to all my practices and games. I look up to her so much and is the kind of person I want to be when I am older.

  1. What is some advice you would give to a younger version of yourself?

Never take anything for granted, every practice and game is a new opportunity to get better and have fun, so remember why you love the game and enjoy the ride!
