Knocking On the Door: Who Is Next For the 200 Club

Knocking On the Door: Who Is Next For the 200 Club

Knocking on the 200 Club

The PPV Chart is a flowing score that isn’t perfect and can rapidly change.  It also is up for interpretation based on what staff is looking at a player, on what day, etc.  The 200 PPV mark seems to be sort of a magical mark for an upper echelon of where many of the Top 20 programs are doing a majority of their scouting and again this is an observation NOT A RULE.  The staff took some time to look through our 2027 Player Profiles and see who are those prospects knocking on the door of jumping into the #200Club……

PPV 198

Cat Nygaard Libero Tennessee  TK Volleyball Atlanta, GA

We have talked about Nygaard and the distance she travels to play at a larger club.  Tremendous work ethic and coverage.  Definitely one of the best in the Southeast.  Watch for her PPV to rise as she plays in the Open division.

PPV 193

Ruthie Robinson Middle South Dakota  Kairos Volleyball

Robinson is one that we really think could jump quite a bit this year.  Still new to the position, every update we hear on her is positive and the sky is the limit for this one.  Raw athletic talent and skill are untapped.  You know she will get the training.

PPV 192

Mia Ray  Outside  Georgia  A5

The 3x USA Nationals All-American has attended some impressive select camps and has performed well at the biggest events.  If she can continue to improve her vertical and explosive game her PPV will go up and she will bump into the 200s.  She is one of the best in Georgia so watch for her in the 2027 class.

PPV 191

Isabella Lopez  Outside  Florida  Tribe Volleyball

Lopez plays for Tribe so she will get looks in big competitions.  Plain and simple if she can improve the explosion and her 3-step approach her PPV will climb.  She has attended some high-profile select camps so she is on the radar of some Power 4 programs.  This year is up to her and what she can show as far as her athletic progression, but she has the frame at 6’3” that Power 4 programs are definitely paying attention and Lopez is on the edge of the 200 Club.

PPV 191

Sophia Smith  Opposite  Michigan  Legacy Volleyball

Smith plays on a D1-loaded Legacy team that will have plenty of college eyes on it all season long.  She will get plenty of looks.  She has a solid game and will get college offers.  For her to move up the PPV ranks and how high of an offer she receives will all depend on that VERTICAL game and how explosive she gets this year.  9.6 and 9.5 TOP Scores in Height and Block Touch Smith simply needs to bring up that 3-step touch (vertical touch) number and her PPV will soar along with her attention from larger schools.

PPV 190

Ella Horvick  Libero   Florida   OTVA Tampa

First of all thoughts and prayers to Horvick and all of her Tampa-based club team affected by the recent hurricane that damaged so much more than their training facilities and we hope she, her family, and her teammates are ok.  Horvick is a steadily rising libero in this class and one of the best in Florida no doubt.  Rising up as a bro is simply continuing to be solid week after week no matter what and getting noticed by coaches for being just that.  Simply doing your job every single match no matter what.

PPV 189

Kaelyn Bjorklund   Setter    Minnesota   Northern Lights

This is a rising star in the upper Midwest.  Bjorklund is one of the top Midwest setters and has been a 2x All-American setter at the AAU level for Northern Lights.  She does pass the magical 6’1” mark for setter height and has attended a couple of larger select camps this past year.  Watch her in the mix this year with the large mix of talented floor generals in the 2027 class.  Improving her athleticism will help her move up in PPV and match some of the other top-setters in this class, but Bjorklund is a good one.  Maybe another one that if you move her up to 2026 she is probably much higher ranked.

PPV 189

Natalie Norton   Outside   Texas   Drive Nation

Norton has the makings of a “diamond in the rough candidate” She played for a small high school in Texas and had played at a smaller club so didn’t get as much exposure as she deserved, but her numbers do not lie.  She is ready to burst onto the scene this year.  Now that she is playing at the Open Level and for Madfrog look for Norton to be a much more recognizable name in the 2027 class by the time offers are officially made!  We fully expect her to climb into the club early in the new club season.
