Rumble on the Plains.. Tigers are Coming

What’s that sound you are hearing down south? It might be the momentum Auburn Volleyball has right now in the recruiting world. Coach Crouch and his staff are opening the eyes and swaying the minds of top level recruits across the Southland.

This includes a talented and deep six-person 2026 class with names such as Reese Shugart (PPV:184) and one of the most untapped potential steals of this class in Chierika Okororie newly updated and should continue to rise with more PT (PPV: 130).  Emma Gutke and Macy McAmis are a couple of prospects that fit the Auburn “system” perfectly and will add to the culture immediately.  Emma Gutke could be a “high-end” Libero that comes from a strong KIVA club and Lindley Miller is a versatile front row attacker that could play multiple positions in the lineup.  Add a top end transfer, former Baylor Libero Alexis Dacosta and yes Auburn had a fantastic offseason.

The best part of this offseason is it looks like continued success is a solid possibility as Tiger Select Camps were as deep with A List prospects as nearly anyone in the South. Names like Isabella Incenelli, Taylor Anna Mcleay, Marlie Smith and Asia Udo-Ema to name a few helped make up one of the deepest camps in the SEC and have turned Auburn into a possible sleeper team in the coming years.

A talented young recruiting staff made up of former Austin Juniors director Rachel Corbelli who also comes from a family of college volleyball lifers, Coaching Veteran Keith Smith who has put in extensive work with USA VB and has those recruiting connections, and add in former FGCU assistant Jack Burton.  This young trio is diligent and visible in starting to help change the narrative about Auburn volleyball with top level prospects.  Getting them to see that it’s a program that can contend in the SEC.  Perception and getting feet on campus are a huge step in getting elite players to believe the Plains of Bama could be an option for their D1 careers. The Auburn Tigers are coming, and the SEC could soon have another serious contender for yearly NCAA berths..
