Aiko Jones Begins Coaching Career Back in Louisville

After a decorated playing career at the University of Louisville and a professional debut with the Atlanta Vibe in the Professional Volleyball Federation, Aiko Jones is stepping into a new role: college coach.

Jones has joined the coaching staff at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, marking the start of her collegiate coaching journey in a city that played a major role in her growth as both a person and athlete. Her return to Louisville feels like a full-circle moment—this time, not as a student-athlete, but as a mentor and leader for the next generation.

During her time at Louisville, Jones made a name for herself as one of the program’s most consistent and dominant players. She finished with 1,344 career kills—10th all-time in school history—and was a multi-time All-ACC selection and AVCA All-American. After graduating, she took her talents to the professional level, signing with Real Pro Volleyball's Atlanta team in 2024.

She will finish out her pro season before officially stepping into her new role with the Knights. With her knowledge of the game, high-level experience, and leadership on and off the court, Jones is set to bring tremendous value to Bellarmine’s staff.
