Former Pepperdine Player Joins as Coaching Intern

It may not rival Keystone, but a new pipeline is emerging between Pepperdine and Texas. Ryan Wheeler, a player formerly coached by David Hunt at Pepperdine, has graduated and has joined the Texas Volleyball staff as a Coaching Intern for the 2025 season. He is planned to primarily take on the responsibility of video and statistical analysis for player development and scouting, comparable to the role of a technical coordinator. A similar move was made last year when another of Hunt's former players, Trey Cole, took on a consultant position for the 2024 season. This rig might just be a gusher.
