There appear to be three schools still in the mix for Logan Bell of Circle City, just maybe not who everyone was thinking. After moving on from Louisville a day ago, Tennessee is now rumored to be seriously in the mix for the 2025 OH.
Kansas is one of the two finalists, and Coach Ulmer is a factor. Along with a more vigorous program and a greater chance to contend for the National Championship right away (both high on Bell's checklist in a college), it is nice that she knows the HC and buys into his system and philosophies.
The 2nd prime contender is Utah, and this is a surprise for many people. The Utes have a solid program and are in the tourney mix each year, but they are dangerous considering their region and conference. To say they are a national title contender is a stretch. One thing they do have going for them is that the Utes have offered Bell the chance to try to play indoors and on the beach at the University. This seems to be the central selling point for the University of Utah.
Tennessee was a new name for us, but the Vols are a strong program that has made great strides in the past couple of years. The fact that they are gaining interest this late is also positive, as there must be something making Logan want to talk with them and consider Knoxville after hearing from so many other top programs.
I like that Bell is taking her time and is listening to so many different schools. This is genuinely what the recruiting process should be about. Without knowing the exact specifics of the situation, my initial lean would still say Kansas because of her original commitment to Coach Ulmer at Oregon. But you also have to wonder if that was the reason why she hasn't pulled the trigger on them already. So then I would lean toward Tennessee because of them coming in late and being interested after Bell has already looked at so many other top programs.
