The first ten days of recruiting 2025 prospects have been completed, and there was a lot of action, especially in top Power 5 schools.
41 prospects announced their verbal commitments this past week and a half, and the Big 10 made an immediate splash. With 5 of the 7 largest classes (Wisconsin, Nebraska, Illinois, UCLS and USC) coming from the power conference.
The Wisconsin Badgers wasted no time signing the nation’s first class of 4 prospects PrepDig’s #15, 16, and 17, Natalie Wardlow, Addison Horner, and Madison Quest. Then added a big Kentucky recruit with Kristen Simon.
Nebraska got verbals from Campbell Flynn, Teraya Sigler, and Keri Leimbach (ranked 5,6, and 39 by PrepDig) as the Huskers line themselves up for the nation’s top class once again.
Reese Messer, top 10 in everyone's rankings will take her game out West and announced her USC commitment.
In a bit of a surprise Illinois jumped in and got three verbals Gabriella Pitcel, PrepDig #43, and top South Dakota recruits Taryn Kirsch and Sophi Randall.
Soon to be SEC bound Texas continued with high impact/high profile commits landing Abby Vander Wal and Callie Krueger ranked 3 and 17, respectively.
Oregon is duplicating it’s solid 2024 class by securing verbals from Logan Bell and Kenna Cogill, both Top 30 prospects..
In the past few days, Kentucky got their first commit in Kassidy O’Brien, PrepDig #20, and Texas A&M and their new regime kept a huge local target home with Texas’ top Setter Kirra Musgrove heading to Aggieland
It’s been a busy 10 days for early commits, but there are still many more to come, including announcements from multiple top 5 recruits and some more action by SEC and Big 12 schools, who have been very quiet so far.
