Decision '26: What they are getting Tarnow, Stanley, Divita, and Whitmire

Decision ‘26:

What they are getting from the Top Prospects

The second day of college recruiting was somehow more exciting than the first. Whether weighing their options or awaiting an off from their dream school, many top recruits announced their verbal commitments to their future homes after the first day.

Gabby Divita Outside Hitter Legacy - University of Nebraska, Big Red

I'm sure we were all wondering who would be the first Nebraska commit of the class, none other than a player who I’m sure is used to all eyes on her. Divita has been amongst the best outside hitters in the country coming in at 6’1 with a PPV of 265. Her length combined with an explosive approach jump makes her a no-brainer for the Nebraska coaching staff.

She carries herself with that Big Red swag on the court, she brings intensity to the game and wants the ball in clutch moments. Divita works hard to be difficult to stop at the net, her approach to the ball gives her an advantage over the block with a high contact point. She carries a large offensive load for her legacy team with ease, what a way to open up their 26 recruiting class.

Danielle Whitmire Setter/Opposite TAV - Penn State University, Nittany Lions

It’s rare that you see athletes succeed at multiple positions once you start playing at a high level, one of the best to do it is headed to the Nittany Lions. Whitmire has the ability to play a major role for any college team as a setter and right side hitter, she brings physicality at the net and a powerful arm swing.

Penn State will have a hard time finding where to put her on the court, her ability to set from any position on the court and make plays is a real asset. Whitmire is a natural born leader in the setting position, she is deceptive when contacting the ball and has a quick release. There are no holes in her talent, Whitmire can be an offensive weapon on the right side and has great vision to attack the open spots on the court.

Lynney Tarnow Middle Blocker 1st Alliance - University of Wisconsin, Badgers

The Badgers pick up an elite attacker in the middle blocker position with size at 6’6, Tarnow is a physical blocker at the net that takes up space on defense. She is an offensive weapon in transition, with an unstoppable behind the setter attack.

Wisconsin has had many dominant middles come through their program and Tarnow is no different. Tarnow is quick with her footwork closing to the pins, her knowledge of the game and ability to read attackers makes her a force at the net. She played up two age groups for nationals this season and had no problem dominating at that level to be named a 18U Club All-American.

"Wisconsin has been a place i’ve attended camps for and been a fan of since a very young age, so getting an offer from them was something I just couldn’t pass up! Also the program being so incredible and having such a big middle presence made the decision so quick for me. "

Taylor Stanley Right Side/Outside Hitter Dynasty - University of Kansas

One of our prospect profile players we have followed along from NTDP and now her commitment to the Jayhawks, a lengthy weapon on the right side touching over 10 ft. Her ability to effectively attack from multiple positions on the court sets her apart.

Stanley has spent time in the USA and is no stranger to the tough competition she will face in the Big 12. A natural athlete that works hard in transition to give herself the opportunity to score. Stanley is a team player that brings great energy to the court, not to mention her unstoppable thumb down shot.

"KU feels like home to me. The staff is incredible and feels like a second family. I have been going to camps since I was 11 and it felt so right to continue my journey as a Jayhawk. The facilities (volleyball only arena & athlete dorms) are amazing. It makes me smile thinking about my family and friends coming to support me at every game and only being 45 minutes away from home. After being able to have a real conversation on June 15th with Coach Bechard, the Big 12 Coach of the Year, it just felt right. I couldn’t be more excited to be a Jayhawk!!!! Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!!!"
