The Prospect Report: Camp Edition

Where the Prospects Are Camping This Week:

BYU Cougars hosted Halle Bryce 2027 OH standout from City Sports

Club V 2027 Setter Z Christensen took in the state’s other D1 program today camping with the Cougars.

Wisconsin looked liked the big winner today holding their select camp (Not sure if they have a Special Name for it or not) and the talent ran deep.

Ireland Real OH 2027 WAVE (more to come on her later) and so was Shaye Witherspoon of Rockwood Thunder.  Arguably the top two OH’s in the class camping together today.  Not far behind them Tessa Larkin OH AZ Storm 2027 All American was also on campus.

Kristen Sheehy 6’4” MB from Revolution VB in Phoenix, who caught our eye at the nationals

Tatum Kelly 2028 Setter from New Wave who we have mentioned a few times this camp season.

One of the top Minnesota 27s Kayla Nawrocki was also in Madtown and so was Malorie Boesigner from Nebraska another of the 2027 superstar setters.

Shaye Witherspoon has put in some serious Big Ten research this week (Nebraska earlier) and also Ohio State.

Marissa Jones, who still appears to be the top 2027 Setter, started her camp circuit today at Kentucky’s camp.  The A5 star attended their D1 Prospect Camp and looks to have a few more stops this week.

Kansas State again hosted some talented campers among them

Madelyn Henry 2027 OH from Kairos in South Dakota who we talked about earlier this week.

Another Kairos player 2028 Setter Josalyn Samuels limited camps and travel this Summer, attending only Nebraska and Texas camps (Not a bad pair. The South Dakota Setter regarded as the top in the country will head to her third NTDP in Anaheim with many of these prospects in a week or so.

Kaylieana Dickey a hot prospect 2028 from Texas made the camp

Laruen Nip 2026 Libero was in attendance for the Pepperdine Select Day

Baylor was also in the camp mix and a program that has done a great job of attracting talent to camps did it again.

2028 talent Maya Ogbogu who was just at Texas AM spent the day with the Bears.

So did California 2027 OH Asia Udo Emi who has put in some miles this week from the West Coast to Texas.

Kya Behr is a 2025 Setter who was on campus at Arizona today (ner Player Profile go read all about Kya).

Harper Greene 2027 from REV Volleyball headed to Boiler Nation today for Purdue Camp.

Another Texas 2028 OH Amelia Morrison attended an SEC camp as she was on Mizzou’s campus today.

Georgetown has had a good camp turnout this year.

Harper Goldsmith 2026 Setter for Vital VB camped at East Tennessee State today.

Eden Harris headed to NSU and the Shark Tank for camp we believe she made it out alive (and their social media is one of the best around).

Milwaukee Sting 2027 Setter Meghan Bruss and some of her teammates attended the Loyola University Select Camp today

Taylor McDonald of Shockwave 2026 MB was in Ames Iowa for Iowa State camp.

Penn State hosted 2027 Anna Burke MB for AVA Volleyball

Avery Macmeccan headed to Furman camp for a day this week.

Attitude and Energy Making a REAL difference with scouts:

I heard from two different staffers this week and both said the same basic thing….

“Read your report the other night (thanks for that first of all;) and there are a couple of prospects that we thought higher of a few months ago that there are a couple ?s about now because of attitude things we saw at nationals.  Also, you might be on to something about Ireland Real she moved way up and a part of that was the + energy and + intangibles you touched on”.

Lauren Adel gets a touch of American craziness with volleyball.  I had a few minutes to text with Canadian Setter Lauren Adel after we mentioned her in our article the other night.  We will be setting up an interview as soon as she is done with Team Canada training, but she mentioned how her phone started blowing up after the article and she got a lot more social media followers.  Welcome to volleyball in the USA right now Lauren if you have game people want to know about you. Update your Hudl film:)

Northern is still enjoying vacation.  One of the top 2026s still out there is Kendall Northern and I had a chance to check in real quick with the athletic MB.  ‘Still enjoying vacation, but attending a big camp next week when I’m back.”

We have a few interviews lined up with some of the campers finishing up their tours this weekend.  Excited to hear what they thought.  More to come people.
