Notable Names Cap Recent Player Profiles

With a prep seasons underway that means new players making new names for themselves on the local scene. As we start to focus in more closely on the 2027 class we saw a good pile of new Player Profiles arrive this week at VBAdrenaline. Among them were some top names in the class including

Kaitlyn Herweg – L/DS – SCVC – PPV: 22
Herweg is a star in the making on the West Coast (which is already filled with a TON of top-tier 2027s).
Playing up a year on 17 ROXY this spring, Herweg doesn’t miss a beat in the back row. She trains with
Noezy Buckets in her spare time and has attended college camps at USC, Oklahoma, and the University
of Colorado. Looking for a repeat of their USAV 16 Open Championship, Herweg will be a huge get for
someone in June.

Anya Baklenko – Setter – Madfrog Volleyball – PPV: 245
A recent relocation has brought her to the heart of Texas. This 5’9” Setter is looking to make waves with
Madfrog Volleyball this spring as she enters her commitment season. She has attended college camps
at Wisconsin, Tennessee, Texas A&;M, Washington, Georgia, and USC. She is a UA Next Invitee and also
has spent some time with the NTDP Program.

Cat Nygaard – L/DS – TK Volleyball – PPV: 198
An AAU All-American and Phenom Watchlist member, this feisty DS is climbing her way up the ladder
the more people learn about her. A strong platform and gritty defense help Cat to stand out as a top
contender come June. We are excited to see her game continue to grow as she enters her 16s club
season.

Nola Wallace – MB – Aspire Volleyball Club – PPV: 207
Standing 6’5, Wallace has to be one of the tallest prospects in the class of 2027. Touching 121” with a
solid block touch of 115” – she is built for high-level division 1. An AZ Region USA All-Star, she is going to
turn a lot of heads this spring.

Carson Caraway – OH – Infinity Volleyball Academy – PPV: 213
A 2023 MaxPreps Freshman All-American, Caraway is a 6’3” outside with a great swing. Already
attending prospect camps at Penn State, Pitt, and Ole Miss, Caraway is on the rise to join a very
competitive class of pins for 2027. Solid back-row play and a toolbelt full of shots will help her bring a
lot of coaches to her court in club.
