This week’s edition of “From the Film Room” highlights our top-ranked 2028s!
Kyla Hurley - Libero/DS, Pineapple HP 16-1, PPV 172
Hurley is extremely stable in her passing and consistently makes perfect contacts. The more we watch her, the higher she will rise!
Raegan Marshman - Middle, TK 16-1 Storm, PPV 170
She has a solid frame and a quality arm swing! Her setter runs her at different positions along the net, allowing her versatility to shine!
Morgan Choi - DS/Libero, SPVB, PPV 168
My previous film on her remains relevant… “Choi is a frequent flier and navigates the backcourt with ease. With a lightning-quick first step, she easily makes one-handed digs and handles easier balls to perfection!”
Vanessa Gridley - Setter/RS, AZ Sky 15 Gold, PPV 167
Gridley created her profile last week, and from what I’ve seen thus far… “Listed as a setter and right side, it’s easy to see why when watching her play. She has great hands and runs a quality offense, but can also easily rack up kills at the right pin!”
Grace Regula - Outside, AVC 15 Red, PPV 167
She is an extremely cerebral player and plays with a high volleyball IQ. Along with a snappy arm swing, she also knows when to tool the block or place a tip in the deep corner, making her an unpredictable offensive threat!
Sasha Slaughter - Middle, Absolute 15-1 Black, PPV 164
Like Gridley, Slaughter put her name out there just last week! Here is my initial report on her… “She is a middle who uses her great footwork to square to the net on her blocks and press inside, as well as get up in her approach and snap the ball down. Long and quick, keep an eye on this middle!
Kaitlyn Koceski - Libero/DS, Legacy 15-1 Adidas, PPV 164
Koceski possesses qualities that have the potential to make her special at the next level! She utilizes her low center of gravity to reach the ball quickly, set her feet and angle, and deliver precise passes!
Dakota Washington - Libero/DS, A5 15-Myca, PPV 161
She has an elite feel for the game and utilizes her strong footwork to step in and deliver high-quality passes on the regular. Having attended camps at Florida and Missouri, she seems to be making a big impression amongst SEC programs!
Olivia Ambeau - Setter/RS, 501 Volleyball 15 National, PPV 159
Ambeau has great range and ball control! She runs a quick offense, an aspect that will translate to the college game, and can also power the ball down herself. She runs a variety of attacks with great accuracy and has all the makings of a great prospect moving forward!
Tristyn Ervin - Setter/RS, NPJ 16 National, PPV 159
A two-time UA Next invitee, Ervin has great potential. Already highly skilled, I can't wait to see how she continues to grow!
