The Silver State - Nevada Stars

The talent is constantly growing around the country as our sport continues to gain center stage attention. With more athletes competing, the stronger the competition becomes in each state. Next up on our state by state series, we will be looking out west at none other than Nevada. Nevada hasn’t been a national name historically, but it is one that’s up and coming with big time commits from the 2026 class hailing from the silver state.

This week, let’s take a look at our 4 athletes who currently have a player profile on our site!

Ayanna Watson - 2026 Outside, Vegas Aces, PPV 298

Nevada’s golden child - the diamond level outside headed to Pitt and is one that is sure to make an instant impact for the Panthers. 2024 Gatorade State Player of the Year, NTDP athlete, All-American, the accolades go on and on. Watson is so fun to watch, high flyer and a whip of an arm? The ACC doesn’t know what’s coming, look out for a long and influential career for Watson.

Audrey Sutherland - 2028 Outside, NNJ, PPV 184

At 6’4”, Sutherland passes the initial eye test of a P4 outside. As a 2028, she has plenty of time for further growth, but is already showing strong for NNJ. Her ability to attack high allows her to swing on pretty much any area of the court. Dare I say, her backrow attack may even be more lethal than her swings on the front row. She will be a fun one to watch develop especially as her passing and explosiveness continues to improve.

Aliana Breitling - 2027 Outside, Vegas Aces, PPV 181

What Breitling may lack in height, she makes up for in jump and arm swing. Standing at 5’10, while she may not be the biggest attacker on the court, she springs up and reaches high which allows her for a great range in her attacking. Her arm swing is also extremely quick and makes it hard to defend, but trust me when I say she’s got that 4 to 4 T shot down! Excited to see where this one lands come June 15th.

Raissa Abdul-Malik - 2029 Outside, Vegas Aces

Abdul-Malik is a member of the 2029 class and she’s already putting herself out there. She’s playing for a solid Vegas Aces club and already has solid technique to her defense and offense. She swings high and is able to score in the deep parts of the court. She’s also able to read the ball well on defense and keep the ball alive for her team. Can’t wait to watch more as this athlete develops!
