From the Film Room: Class of 2028s Pt. 2

Last week, I began with our 10 highest PPVs in the Class of 2028. Let's continue our journey as I dive into another 10 talented Player Profiles from the class.

Chloe Ritchie - Libero/DS, Munciana 15 Blue, PPV 222

Ritchie is a rising star. Playing with high energy and precision, she earned invites to both the 2024 and 2025 UA Next Camps, taking home MVP at this year’s edition! A dynamic athlete, she can also rip the ball from the front row!

Josslyn Jacks - Outside, TStreet 15-1 Chandler, PPV 221

This attacker snaps her wrist and delivers an aggressive swing. Able to step behind the line and deliver a powerful topspin serve as well, Jacks is a six-rotation standout!

Macie Chase - Setter, Houston Jrs 15 Elite, PPV 220

Chase is a coach’s dream, commanding all phases of the game. Her hands are excellent, and she betters the ball with ease, while she also excels on the defensive end and rarely gets beat!

Malie Ogbechie - Outside, Sports Academy 15 Premier, PPV 212

The younger sister of Nebraska commit Manaia Ogbechie, Malie is another outstanding athlete. She is an explosive outside who packs a punch each and every time she attacks the ball. Her play style and “swing high and hard” mentality is sure to catch the eyes of many programs!

Elsa St. Rose - Outside, Houston Jrs 15 Elite PPV 206

When I first watched this star play, what I said still remains true: “Already a certified star in her class, St. Rose earned 2024 MaxPreps Freshman All-American honors. It is easy to see why this attacker is already garnering interest from top programs, previously attending camps at Kentucky and Miami, as she regularly stands out on the court with her electric swing and burst.”

Alexandra Knox - Setter, Pittsburgh Elite Volleyball 16 Elite, PPV 202

A recent addition to the annual NTDP and UA Next invitees, Knox has arrived on the scene with a bang! Her footwork and strength are evident upon first evaluation and she is sure only to get better!

Saylor Halvorsen - Outside, Sports Academy 15 Premier, PPV 198

Standing at 6 foot 5 already, Halvorsen has an elite frame. She plays above her competition, allowing her to demolish balls over and through the block or use her vision to craftily place a roll shot in the middle of the court! I expect her to explode over the next year and become a top prospect!

Lowe Long - Outside, Tri-State Elite 15 Blue, PPV 192

Once again, I first highlighted Long in a new player profile article, where I wrote, “[Lowe] is already a highly touted recruit. She possesses great height and is an extremely versatile attacker. Look for this AAU All-American to continue to grow her game and become an even bigger force! Also, look for Long to attract interest from all of the top academic institutions in the country as she ranks as one of the top students in her class.”

Abbie Powell - Middle, Munciana 15 Blue, PPV 191

This Indiana middle finished her freshman season atop the leaderboard in statewide hitting percentage, proving her consistent high-caliber play. In the club world, she has been separating herself as a top prospect at her position with solid blocks and swift kills! Look for her to keep making moves!

Liv Wender - Setter, Legacy 16-2 Adidas, PPV 191

The third setter on this list, Wender, is another high-quality player. She runs a fast offense and is offensive-minded, dumping the ball oftentimes, resulting in kills or baiting blockers before isolating her hitters. I love watching her play and can’t wait to keep tabs on her!
