The 2024 Minnesota High School season is winding down and the postseason is right around the corner. Take a look at a few 2027 Minnesota Fall-Stars who have jumped out at the top of their class:
Cora Bicknese (Libero – Chatfield) – Bicknese is a huge part of the success that Chatfield has seen this fall. Chatfield is ranked #2 in Class AA and Bicknese is doing it all. Playing 6 rotations on the RS (a normalcy for small-town programs with less options) Bicknese has 163 kills (.282), 40 Service Aces, 267 Digs (3.5/set) and 14 Blocks. Sure to be MN’s top Libero prospect (and one of the best in the country), she is finding a way to get it done for her high school team.
Ellie Osowski (OH – Wayzata) – Wayzata is in unfamiliar territory as they are busy “rebuilding” this year (even though they just took power house Champlain Park to 5 last week) and a huge part of their rebranding is Sophomore OH, Ellie Osowski. Official stats weren’t available, but she is one of the go-to hitters in their balanced offense. She played with Northern Lights in the past and has won a National Championship. A little undersized but with a whip of an arm – she is sure to turn some heads this spring in club.
Izzy Scheuch (MB – HLWW) – Izzy Scheuch is new to the scene but is about to have a breakout club season. Word on the street is that she’s heading to the metro for club this year and her 6’3” frame will make an immediate impact on whatever 16’s program she chooses. A little raw, but long and athletic – Izzy is going to shoot to the top of the MN Middle Prospects.
Ellery DeBoer (S – Willmar) – Ellery just surpassed her 2000th Assist for the Class AAA 5th Ranked Willmar Cardinals. In her third year as a starter she is also leading her team in blocks with 41 total – As a Setter. A household name across vbadrenaline – word is she’s staying with her MN Select team from last year and playing 17s this spring.
Kacie Schulte (RS/OH – Maple Grove) – Arguably the most athletic kid in the class of 2027 for Minnesota, Kacie made the switch to OH this high school season and is dominating at the net. Hitting .243 with 238 kills, 39 ace serves, 224 digs and 15 total blocks. She is a high flyer that stands out when you walk up to her court. It will be interesting where she ends up for club – rumors are spreading that she might be jumping ship and heading across town to play for Northern Lights. Either way – she’s the top pin in this class and one to keep your eye on.
