The talent is constantly growing around the country as our sport continues to gain center stage attention. With more athletes competing, the stronger the competition becomes in each state. Next up on our state by state series, we will be looking at the strength that comes from Arizona. We could go on and on about the skill that is coming up from the Grand Canyon State, and while Arizona might get a reputation of being a desert - the depth of volleyball talent is not drying up any time soon.
This week, let’s take a look at our top 10 PPV athletes who currently have a player profile on our site!
Kendall Omoruyi - 2027 Middle, Arizona Storm, PPV 298
Omoruyi is no stranger to our site, we first interviewed her back at NTDP and asked the question - “Can a middle end up with the highest PPV in their class?”. Well, Kendall definitely makes a strong argument. Her impressive accolades at NTDP, UA Next MVP, and the U19 National Team Member will surely have her pick of schools come June 15th. While she may not have the highest PPV in her class at this moment in time, she definitely stands above the rest in her home state.
Tessa Larkin - 2027 Outside, Arizona Storm, PPV 287
The Larkin / Omoruyi duo is a dangerous one for this Arizona Storm 16-1 Team. It’s no wonder every P4 school is hovering by their court this club season. Aside from her ease of play and heavy arm, Larkin’s jump touch at a whopping 10’4” allows her to overtake the game jumping well above many of her opponents. An outside who can pass and swing that well? It’s no wonder she’s been so highly touted, we can’t wait to see which program will be lucky enough to pick her up.
Brooke Harwood - 2026 Middle, Arizona Storm, PPV 277
Another Arizona Storm middle, standing at 6’4” and headed to UCLA, Brooke stands alone in the 2026 class for Arizona. Watching her play for a few moments, you understand why - moving well pin to pin and lethal on the slide, she is sure to do great things for the Bruins.
Amari Frazier - 2028 Middle, Arizona Storm, PPV 255
Frazier was part of our first 2028 film room breakdown article last week. We love that this 2028 is showing up on the national stage in a big way. Her ability to find the court and tower over her opponents at the 15U level is impressive on its own, strong in transition - this middle is definitely an early favorite.
Izzie Penrose - 2028 Libero/DS, Arizona Storm, PPV 251
Penrose is a new face in the great state of Arizona, after spending a majority of her club ball in Florida she moved cross country and is now competing with the likes of Frazier on Storms 15 Thunder squad. She’s a calm presence on the court with a big range, one to keep watching as the game speeds up from 15’s onward.
Isabella Stojkovic - 2027 Outside, Aspire, PPV 249
Stojkovic is a fun one to watch, her wingspan and approach speed sets her apart in the outside class. She’s quick off the floor and able to swing high and deep into the court with power and range which makes her an unstoppable force at the net.
Kenna Cogill - 2025 Middle, Arizona Storm, PPV 239
Cogill has seen even more of the limelight recently when she changed her commitment from Oregon to Nebraska this past month. Standing 10’4”, Cogill is a force in the middle and is bound to do great things for the Huskers this fall.
Annabelle Ross - 2028 Middle, Arizona Storm, PPV 230
At this point we should rename Arizona to “The Middle State”, producing high level middle blockers year after year. Ross is no exception, she is an absolute wall at the net and is a problem for other teams offenses.
Kristen Sheehy - 2027 Middle, Revolution, PPV 224
Sheehy is another solid middle in the 2027 class, she excels on the slide with her high swing loving to create a variety of shots from the right side of the court. Watch out as when she’s up and available, the opposing defense better watch out.
Hayden Conner - 2026 Middle, Arizona Storm, PPV 223
Conner is a fun middle to watch, up fast in transition and crafty with a wide variety of shots. This Washington commit leaves opposing defenses questioning what she will do next and gives her setter confidence to continue feeding her balls in a variety of zones across the net.
